Item description
Vintage original 11x14 in. US lobby card from the silent film melodrama GOING THE LIMIT, released in 1925 and directed by Duke Worne. A criminal gang gains the confidence of a
superstitious San Francisco millionaire, Lorenzo Hayward by posing as
clairvoyants. Having acquired his power of attorney, the swindlers then kidnap
the millionaire's daughter, Helen (Ruth Dwyer). Dick (Richard Holt), a young man in love with Helen, sets out
after the kidnappers and, after a wild chase up and down the hills of the city,
rescues her and brings the criminals to justice.
The image features a long shot inside the mansion of San Francisco millionaire Lorenzo Hayward as the wealthy man sits near his large desk with a crystal ball on it as he and the entire room full of people look at Dick (Richard Holt), who has been falsely accused of some wrongdoing by the gang of phony clairvoyants/psychics in the room with him. It is unrestored in very fine condition with a slightly rounded bottom right corner and a light dust shadow along the edge of the bottom half of the right border. There are no pinholes, tears, or other flaws and the rich and varied color tints are fresh and vibrant without any signs of fading.
