Item description

Vintage original 11x14 in. US lobby card from the silent film melodrama GOING THE LIMIT, released in 1925 and directed by Duke Worne. A criminal gang gains the confidence of a superstitious San Francisco millionaire, Lorenzo Hayward by posing as clairvoyants. Having acquired his power of attorney, the swindlers then kidnap the millionaire's daughter, Helen (Ruth Dwyer). Dick (Richard Holt), a young man in love with Helen, sets out after the kidnappers and, after a wild chase up and down the hills of the city, rescues her and brings the criminals to justice. The image features an interior shot inside the home of a San Francisco millionaire who is being duped by a gang of phony clairvoyants/psychics as the film's hero, Dick (Richard Holt), comes out of hiding inside one of the mansion's many bedrooms to see a dog standing on his hind legs while one of the servants emerges from under the bed! It is unrestored in fine+ condition with light signs of wear on the corners; a 0.75 in. long area of wear on the left border beneath the top corner; a tiny nick and a 0.5 in. diagonal tear in the left half of the bottom border; some smudges in the top third of the right border; and light signs of wear along the last 2 in. of the right border. There are no pinholes, stains, or other flaws.
