This 1:1, true to size Cyberpunk robotic arm uses a combination of precision 3D printed and real steel connection parts and a 100% unique, ultra detailed design. Introduction: The HEX-12 arm has a unique design that was, created in 2021. In the early days of my engineering career, I've always agreed with Louis Sullivan; “form follows function”. This statement has defined the concept of that project from the very beginning. I've implemented the triple cylinder formation in an exceptionally strong and stabile frame. Each line of the arm was drawn to reflect future itself and to deliver the feeling of cyberpunk, directly to your hand. Behind the name: Hexagon is one of the strongest shape known. From mother nature itself to the modern structures, engineers use it in a great variety. Thats why the arm's core design is based around hexagonal shapes and forms. It has been represented not just in the main frame, but in the cylinders aswell. Materials and parts: After the unique design was created, we kept the main focus on to achieve as high structural strength and stability as possible. The pistons and the core of the arm are crafted from stainless steel, just like the bolts, nuts and washers for the finger connections. As wiring, real core copper cables were used for the absolute realism. The 3D printed parts are made from a high grade PLA filament. For the used/realistic finish, we used our good old processing and painting techniques that borrows a true field-weathered look. In our philosophy: 'As you look at an object you can immediately tell that it has a story or not' and this one has a lot to say... A uniquely designed stand was created for the arm aswell. Due to its decent weight it can hold the arm straight and still for ultimate exhibitability.
