This is a wonderful vintage women's Christmas sweater with a skier / snowman theme. Vintage label is: Alps Merrimac Valley New England. 100% pure wool. Red background with design in white, green, blue, black and purple. Skiier racing downhill amid evergreens. Border with crossed skis and snowflakes. Snowmen with purple hats! Sleeves have snowflake and Christmas tree design. Wide ribbed collar with silver etched buttons. Long sleeves. Rib knit bands at hem and sleeve cuffs. I believe it dates to the 1960's. In very good condition - I did a few minor repairs on it as my policy is to sell items as perfect as I can make them. The repairs are neatly and expertly done. This is a unique and fun sweater - retro-licious! From a smoke-free home.
