I live in Independence, Missouri - Harry Truman's hometown!
I've had a lifelong fascination with antiques and vintage items. Even when I was growing up, I preferred old over new! I was always the "funky" kid, wearing vintage clothes mixed with contemporary!
Naturally, I grew up to have a big old house full of interesting antiques. And, I still wear vintage!
I love to haunt antique shops, thrift stores, and estate sales. I'm getting to the point where it would be ridiculous to accumulate much more, so I keep a few choice items and sell the rest. I love helping others fuel their passion for collectibles, and at the same time, I can finance my own addictions!
My day job is teaching in an elementary school.
My other interests include bird watching, gardening, sewing, knitting, butterflies, and music (playing the harp and piano.)
I love to "meet" fellow collectors online (Ebay and Bonanzle!) I have learned so much from the friendly, helpful people I have encountered. The world is full of wonderful serendipity, don't you think?
