Item description
Vintage original 7 x 9 in. US single-weight glossy photograph from the 1980s gang-rivalry themed drama, THE OUTSIDERS, released in 1983 by Warner Bros. and directed by Francis Ford Coppola, about the rivalry between two gangs, the poor Greasers and the rich Socs, only heats up when one gang member kills a member of the other.
The image depicts Ponyboy Curtis (C. Thomas Howell) with Cherry Valance (Diane Lane). Affixed to the bottom of the verso (which has subsequently come loose) is the original paper snipe from a television broadcast on CBS which folds over to the recto. It is in very fine condition as shown.
Provenance: The Hearst Herald Examiner newspaper archive.
