The workshop only put your neon sign into production once you bought unless we have it in stock. So it will have to wait some time to arrive. Therefore, it may take few days to complete a neon sign and the shipping time will be gradual.
I had been selling online since April 2012. I wanted to share my personal experience and thoughts to all of you and it might seem long-winded but just bear with me.
I had tried selling on various e-commerce platforms such as eBay and some others popular websites. From what I learnt so far, I felt the urgency of my store image. I mean I can leave these little things out; eventually it will have a huge impact if I want my business to prosper.
Honesty
One thing I found out after these years selling online, I realized honesty is very, very important. Well, before honesty came to me, I must admit that I had lied to some of my customer. It’s not a big lie, but a lie is a lie. Of course I don't feel good about it and then I ask myself why don't I just tell the truth? Well, the reason I lied is because I want my customer to feel good, feel perfect about my service. But it end up worse than I thought. At that time, I was completely out of eBay and I had stopped selling for months. And then I realized I had to get myself back and move on. And that's why I learned that honesty is such an important role, no matter in business or in life.
“Rather than love, than money, than fame, give me truth” By Thoreau. Sounds odd to put it here but now they had become one of my life principles. I learned this phrase from the movie “Into the Wild”. At that time, I knew what the phrase mean but it did not struck me until it really happen to me. Sometimes, we don’t get the advice given until something happen to ourselves. Now, I looked back on the way I was then. Making money but lied to get it. It is a way to make a living but it is hell of a way. I can choose to live it that way but there is always a second choice. So, I chose honesty and transparency.
Recently, I apply these terms in business and I found out it is not just money that I earn to feel happy. Occasionally, they can come from a simple message. Why I say so? Because by just chatting through email with customers, sometimes they give motivation or praise or even just being satisfy with the product we sell. A simple message like that is worth a lot more than the money I earn. The joy of reading the message is just indescribable. However, in reality, we still need money to keep us alive.
Many a little makes a mickle. I believe with every small effort we put in, is a giant step to pursue whatever we wanted to.
