I design high-quality clothing and accessories from eco-friendly materials that are unique and made-to-order. What this means is that you receive distinctive, original and virtually one-of-a-kind items.

The multifaceted nature of my designs reflects my varied career path that eventually led me to start Steady Threads Studio. I’m an award-winning artist with a Masters in Fine Arts specializing in printmaking, painting, and sculpture. I was an art museum curator before becoming fascinated with computers. Later I taught myself how to program and settled into a career as an IT specialist for Fortune 500 companies. In this role, I was exposed to emerging technologies and cultivated an interest in digital processes that allowed me to combine my love for art and tech. Armed with these two skills, I started working with machine embroidery and invented a new way to develop digital imagery which I incorporate into many of my textile designs.

I wanted to put my creative energy into things people use and want, not just hang on their walls. I wanted my art to be more functional and not just something to look at or admire. So, what better place to showcase original art and designs than on already existing works of art? And, women are truly that.

So now I design clothing that reflects and accentuates your beauty so you can complement your own signature style. I use pattern placement so that it enhances your best assets while stylishly minimizing areas you’d rather keep a little more mysterious. This is done by placing lines, shapes, and motifs across specific areas of the body on individual pieces, which can slenderize a profile, while at the same time, maximize the loveliness of your shape.

My designs are refined and classic while augmenting a woman’s wardrobe — being the final touch to an outfit or the signature piece needed to complete her style. Each piece is a work of art as much as it is a fashionable garment, while still being considered comfortable clothing. Garments and accessories are individually made and produced in limited edition, making yours incredibly unique.

I believe life is a blank canvas and you can choose to be your own masterpiece, framed in elegant, comfortable fashions. That’s why I do what I do.
