I started Cortese Creations in 2009 when I lived in Tidioute, Pennsylvania. I began doing a lot of wood burnings of wildlife and rodeo subjects. At that time, I had limited equipment. Over the years I acquired more equipment allowing me to successfully create a larger selection of items. I am getting older, and my eyesight gets blurry, and hands started cramping using the plunge router and scroll saw. I purchased a CNC machine to do the carving to relieve these symptoms. I put a lot of time into adding detail to the CNC work and pay special attention to applying color and protective finish. I am expanding my creativity to include stained-glass items.
