The restoration was commissioned in 1824 and completed in 1840 shortly after the death of architect, Jeffry Wyatville (pictured in the frontispiece). The folio of the architectural plans was authored by Gandy and Gaud who worked with Wyatville and used many of his drawings in this publication.
