Item description
Antique Glass Photo (Positive):
World War I - Man in Front of Bombed Out Railway Carriage
An original antique glass photo, likely for display in a magic lantern, of a man (has uniform boots but otherwise dressed as a civilian) standing in front of a bombed out and burned railway carriage during World War I. The slide is labelled "Somesous" which is likely misspelled as "Sommesous" is the area in Marne, France, which saw heavy fighting in WWI. In good condition - nice, crisp image - looks better than shown in my handheld digital photos. 3.5" x 2.5".
Please see the other historic glass photos I have listed in my store, Maxitivity.
