Item description

WOMAN TRIUMPHANT by Rudolf Cronau Self-Published, First Edition, 1919 Condition: Very Good This "historical artifact" was published just when women won the right to vote. It is "an account of women's evolution, of her enduring and trying struuggles for liberty, education and recognition". Though written (and published) by a man, he affirms that, through egoism and self-conceit, men had never (and many still don't) appreciate(d) woman's work and achievements at their full value, and, from ancient times to the present, women have often been an object of sexual slavery and harassment. 301 pages, plus an ad for another timely book, OUR WASTEFUL NATION. There are many illustrations throughout. Moderately bumped and frayed cover corners, some rubbing, flaking and soiling of front cover pastedown, modest edge wear, some darkening and color streaking (from age, I suppose) on end papers; but nice interior with mostly white pages and intact binding. This book appears to be very scarce.
