A near fine, tight copy in quarter grey cloth over magenta patterned paper boards, black colored top page edge coloring; in a very good plus original designed dust jacket with modest spine edge chipping, minor nicking to the shelf extremities, and age-toning to the rear panel. The front flap retains the original price of $2.50. Easily erased contemporary penciled name and date to the front endpaper (we prefer to leave it), and the dust jacket is in a later state with reviews to the front flap. William Faulkner, a Nobel Prize winner, also won two Pulitzer Prizes. Sanctuary was Faulkner's commercial and critical breakthrough that established his literary reputation.
