Item description

No dust jacket. The fact that it's a first edition is printed on the copyright page (copyright 1944). Published by E.P. Dutton Co. A retelling of the 1600s pilgrim adventure for children and young adults. The author, Dorothea Stillman, inscribed this book to a friend, and her inscription reads: "To Katharine with my love and remembering our happy explorations in search of some of this material. Dorothea." Otherwise, no writing/markings Quite pretty, detailed illustrations by Nedda Walker, whose name is given as such on the title page, but with only one "d" in the first name as printed on the front cover: "Neda Walker." (?) 14 chapters, 139 pages. Age-yellowing but firm, unripped pages. Some shelfwear at spine bottom, but overall a nice, tight little book. Note: New York residents please be aware there's an 8.75% sales tax that must be added to the purchase price.
