Item description

MURDER UNDER THE BIG TOP THE PHANTOM DETECTIVE, Book #7 by Robert Wallace A Corinth Regency Suspense Novel First Book Publication, 1965 Condition: Good After The Shadow began publication, The Phantom Detective became just the second pulp hero character to have his own magazine. These pulp stories are said to have influenced aspects of Batman comics and Lee Falk's Phantom newspaper strip. This never-before-reprinted novel is from Phantom Detective for March 1943. A 1" back cover tear and other moderate external wear including a spine lean, though securely bound; interior wear is light (a couple of small corner creases and edge bumps and page toning). THE PHANTOM DETECTIVE is a scarce series from a collectible '60s paperback imprint.
