Item description

Brand new factory sealed vhs is super rare with all the Disney seals and proof of purchase tab in place. This was a Disney channel special back in 1983 so the aspect ratio is 1.33:1 full screen. Perfect for old school televisions as the image will fill your square screen. And the retro pop-n-go video means no fussy menus to contend with either. A magical excursion through time involving a child's fantasy land, where toys and color come to life and talk! Two comical, bug-eyed toys named Peepers and Zoom are curious to find out where they were made. With encouragement from their young owner named Robin and a wise old toy they embark on a fascinating journey. First a toy museum which proves to be quite educational (no kidding, real old toys) and they find out they were made in Japan. Robin takes them to the toy store where they were purchased from and they begin their trip to Japan. In Japan, Zoom and Peepers find their maker, named Kenji and their questions are answered. Finally they magically return home, where they tell Robin about how they returned, and ask the new toys to be Robin's. Just judging by the back cover pictures (see 2nd photo), these characters remind me of the Minions in 'Despicable Me', but they may not act like them as I have not personally seen the film. Just an observation, I wonder if those animators seen this? Speaking of artists, the director is a second generation animator as his father was one for the Disney studios.
