Item description

Pre-1920 Real Photo Postcard. Washington State College, Pullman, Washington - Gang #24-D W.W.C. Campus Day 1914." Card No.14. Photo by "Artopho." Judging by the shovels and work clothes, Campus Day appears to be more focused on work than on fun. Divided back, CYKO stampbox, unused. Condition: Excellent. The school was founded in Pullman on December 28, 1890 and opened on January 13, 1892 as the state's land-grant college, the school changed names from the Washington Agricultural College and School of Science to the State College of Washington in 1905, and, subsequently, in 1959 to Washington State University.
