Item description

Offered here is this nice Vintage Converted Player Upright Piano. The piano has 88 keys, and was once a player piano, but the player mechanism has been removed, and the piano is now a standard upright piano. The piano probably dates to around 1930, although it could be a bit earlier. The M. C. Bay Company was founded in 1917. The piano is in good, working condition, but obvioulsy will need to be tuned. It has a few dings and scratches to the finish, and has obviously been around for a long, long time. The keys are all present, and the piano actually does not sound bad at all. It comes with a bench that opens up to store sheet music within. The bench is in good condition, but does have more dings and scratches on it than the piano, and also some water, and moisture stains. I do not believe that the piano and bench are original to each other. The bench is is a standard size piano bench, and is large enough for two people to sit on. The piano is 61.5" wide, 28" deep at the base, 19.25" deep at the top, 56.5" tall. It is a wonderful old converted player upright piano. If restored it could be worth over $10,000. It is certainly in need of some TLC, and would a wonderful addition to any musically inclined family. It is a wonderful piece of history. Vintage Solo Concerto Upright Converted Player Piano - M.C.
