VINTAGE HANDMADE(?) DALMATIAN DOG SPATULA / GRILL UTENSIL KITCHEN DECORATION Estate Sale find, check the pictures over, I've uploaded as many varied views as possible. Please view them, they are part of the description, too. Something of a mystery, it may be a non-standard item that some enterprising and crafty dog enthusiast adapted by, basically, planting a dog on top of a metal spatula, painting the dog and then fixing a circular hanger on the back. That's pretty much it... This item is obviously used, and of some vintage and, as such, will have some normal signs of wear. The dog part doesn't sit 100% square, obviously not learned his commands yet. For some reason he is represented as a cool dude, with blue hippie shades and his name, Spot, on the side of his Chef's hat. He is also wearing an apron, and, naturally, is holding - proudly - a Hot Dog... The colors are generally blue, black and white, and the paint finish is lightly damaged in places. There also appears to have been a vintage coat of clear varnish applied at some point in the past, the remains of which is now yellowing with age, and is also chipping, slightly. The spatula part is unbranded and I would suggest, with the hanger on the back of the item, this is best used as a fun, retro kitchen decoration item, an not as the long-awaited addition to your outdoor grill armory... ...and, of course, if you have a family dog that loves to don the apron and cook up a storm, you could always strip the paint off, clean him up and, like Lazarus, he could rise again, this time in the image of your own favorite hound... ...and I didn't even mention the connection between Spot, spatula and Spotula... 19" inches long overall, approx.
