Previously owned, see pictures for details and condition Blue Mountain pottery was a Canadian red clay pottery company located in Collingwood, Ontario Canada. It was founded in 1953 and closed in 2004. They produced various types of pottery from animal figurines to jugs, pots, and vases. Known for it?s iconic designs and blue-green glaze which feature a unique, trademarked glazing process known as ?reflowing decorating?. Two different liquid glazes, one light and one dark in color were applied which during the firing process as the glazes would run, created streaking patterns unique to each piece.
