FOR SALE: Initial FIRST HERD offering from Trail of Painted Ponies : A Vintage 2003 New, Complete in the coveted BLACK Box, "ROUTE 66" 1E 2706 by Westland (who ORIGINALLY Manufactured Trail of Painted Ponies thru about the 14th Herd). From the Original FIRST Offering (Herd), This 6.5" tall Ceramic Pony is beautiful he comes to you Brand New in the rare BLACK Box, encased safely in Styrofoam and with his own introduction story hang tag. Stored, he has not been out of the box except to check his edition number photograph him. Please note: All ponies are in mint condition unless otherwise stated. Some pony's may have minor imperfection's that occurred during manufacturing. These are not considered to be damaged as this is the way they were received from TOPP. A tag or box (shelf wear, storage aging) might have a creases, dents, scratches or discoloration to it from 20+ years of storage. Please view all photos so that you know exactly what you are buying! FYI: Pony Individual Number: First Edition 2706 (1E 2706) Westland Production Year 2003 Artist: Ellen Sokoloff TOPP Herd : FIRST (now in 60th herd) Pony Retirement Number: 4E 1107 Pony Retirement Date: July 2005 Pony Material: Ceramic TOPP Pony ID: 1460 Artist Details: Ellen Sokoloff considers herself an “American painter.” Her artwork preserves scenes from an earlier time in our country’s history. Childhood memories of western trips along historic Route 66, American’s “Mother Road”, inspired the collage of diners, motels, gas stations and tourist attractions that embellish her Painted Pony. TOPP more info: Each edition is 10,000 ponies. (1E, 2E, etc) ROUTE 66 had 41,107 total ponies minted (4 editions).. But he is one of only 12 ponies in the VERY FIRST offering by Trail of Painted Ponies #1 Herd and he's in his original premium Black Box. They produce editions or partial editions as long as they sell. Some ponies have 1 edition some have as many as 15.
