Item description

DEATH BEHIND THE DOOR By Victor MacClure London: George G. Harrap Co., Ltd. (1934). First published April 1933, Reprinted May 1934. Original orange cloth with spine panels and front cover corner brackets in black. Faded discoloration to the spine, modest wear and soiling to the covers, dust soiling to the top page edges, else very good with internally clean text and solid inner hinges; no dust jacket. Detective yarn with a clever come-on: at about two-thirds of the way through the book there is a bound-in Harrap Seal that makes this offer: "If at this point you have no desire to read on, you are invited to return this book to the bookseller from whom it was purchased, and your money will be refunded providing this seal is unbroken." The seal in this copy has been opened. PLEASE VIEW OUR STORE FOR MORE GREAT BOOKS THANKS!
