Valkyrie is the Chooser of the Slain in Norse mythology. The Valkyrie doesn’t refer to one individual, but rather a band of warrior maidens chosen by Odin to ride the skies on horseback watching over battles. Italian sculptor Luigi Badia sculpted images for the blanks with the inspiration of Howard David Johnson’s fantastic Norse artworks.
