Upon Mary?s arrival, the baby in Elizabeth?s womb, John the Baptist, was stirred by the presence of his Lord, and Elizabeth prophesied, her words forming part of the Hail Mary prayer. In response to Elizabeth, Mary pronounced the "Magnificat" which begins with these words: ?My soul proclaims the greatness of the Lord, my spirit rejoices in God my Savior.? She remained with Elizabeth for about three months. The original painting was done with watercolor, markers, and colored pencils on paper. I show the print so you can get a better idea of the image. These charms have been favored by Magnificat groups. This is nice on a pendant necklace, both sizes, and the smaller one works on a charm bracelet.
