Item description

Box has a little light shelf wear around the corners and edges. Top right spine has a small dry sticker stain. Cassette is nice and clean with store branded foil security stickers on both endcaps assuring you of first generation quality. Pre-viewed for quality and plays great on my Panasonic vcr deck. The full frame picture is perfect for old tube TVs as the image will fill your square frame. Retro pop-n-go video is nice without any annoying menus. Bergman is an Irish lass who follows her convict husband Cotten out to 1830s Australia where he makes a fortune. She turns to drink, perhaps because of his neglect, cries a lot, and has her position usurped by a housekeeper with designs on her husband. When Bergman's cousin (Michael Wilding) arrives, Cotten may have cause for his violent jealousy. There's a plot twist involving old family skeletons adapted from the Helen Simpson novel and remade in 1982 as an Australian mini-series.
