See my other listings for other Brands, Models and Options. At TZ GOLF we specialize in vintage clubs and golf related items that have a cult like following, may be underrated in some circles, are beautiful to look at, have great performance, give a better value than overpriced new clubs and will help golfers have more fun style on the golf course. The Ping Cushin Putter - 85029 This is a used, vintage (released in 1965), very collectible, CUSHIN PING PUTTER. It is a "Cushin" with a "C" rather than a "K". This is one of the early Karsten Solheim designs having the slot in the putter head which gave it a kind of pinging sound, thus the name PING. This was made in Phoenix, Ariz. 85029 and patented by the Karsten MFG. Corp. It is for a right-handed golfer. It measures just a tad less than 36" ( maybe about 35 1/2" playing length ) . It is still in good playable condition. There are some marks and signs of use. The putter face has some minor marks but no gouges. The original steel shaft shows no wear and no rust. It is a single bend shaft that connects directly to the back of the clubhead rather than to a hosel. The grip had been changed. This putter is ready for use, but these are usually bought by collectors. About The Manufacturer Engineer and inventor Karsten Solheim got his start as an engineer working for GE in Ithaca, New York. His passion for the game set him on a journey to create a better putter. At the time he thought he was simply building it for his own personal use, but in 1959, Karsten?s ongoing garage experiments yielded an innovative putter he called 1A design. This putter had very distinctive design qualities, among them, a unique tone at impact, a sound that would echo throughout the game for generations to come??Ping.? The Anser putter began a long and proud history of truly innovative equipment design throughout Ping?s entire product line (ultimately resulting in over 400 patents) that has set Ping at the top of the list of golf design and manufacturing companies. The company is headquartered in Phoenix, Arizona. Karsten Solheim has passed away and his son John has taken the helm. Scottsdale Cushin and Kushin Putters These models are similar both in name and in form. The Cushin is particularly notable as it was used by Julius Boros to win the 1967 Phoenix Open. It differs from the Kushin in the bend of its shaft and the length from heel to toe. Values for both putters range between $300 and $500. Used, but in great condition PING Cushin Putters with Soundslot. Without Headcover - Generic headcover available (must pay full rate) upon request. Right Handed 35.5? Lamkin Grip shows age appropriate wear, and condition. See pics for club condition Shipping Via USPS Bid with confidence (100% positive feedback) Fast shipping
