Item description

#8 in the Tom Swift Jr. series. Grosset and Dunlap hardcover publication. Copyright 1956. Printed around late 1959. Author "Victor Appleton II." Victor Appleton the first was the Stratemeyer Syndicate pen name for the initial Tom Swift series. Blue and white space lab endpapers. "100100" designation on upper right corner of dust jacket front flap. Very good blue tweed book in good to very good dust jacket with minor edgewear mainly at the top front, where, at the left, there's also a tear of about a half inch. Small chip and tear at bottom spine, and two very small chips at bottom of rear jacket. Front pages titles list to #15 Spectromarine Selector (1960). Rear dust jacket flap lists to #14 Electronic Retroscope (1959). Rear dust jacket lists to Hardy Boys #38 Mystery at Devil's Paw (1959). Guess is that this book was printed in or around late 1959. Very good spine and hinges. Clean book. Prior owner name, address, telephone number on reverse of free front endpaper. No other writing/marking. (TSA8)
