The photo of him at an advanced age is not formally identified but from the same family album. Measure approximately 4.25 x 6.5 including mounts. Both photos are credited to studios in Burlington, Wisconsin. Condition: These are original photographs, not a copy or reproduction. They are in excellent condition. Comments: Thomas Jessop Bottomley was born September 12, 1840 and died December 4, 1918 in Racine Co., Wisconsin. He is buried in the Eagle Creek Religious Society Cemetery in Burlington, Wisconsin. He was the husband of Amelia Amanda Frost who was born November 1, 1843 and died March 10, 1916. She is buried in the same cemetery. Thomas was the son of Edwin Bottomley (1809-1850) and Martha Schofoeld Jessop Bottomley (1812-1894). His siblings included Hannah Bottomley Hay (1830-1893), Emma Bottomley (1834-1835), Arminal Ann Bottomley (1835-1916), Sarah Bottomley Gooder (1838-1890), Selina Bottomley Gooder (1843-1923), Cecelia Martha Bottomley (1846-1884) and Mary Emma Bottomley Burns (1849-1933). Amelia was the daughter of Horace Frost (1810-1900) and Amanda Bailey Frost (1817-1904). Her siblings included Julia Amanda Frost Waddell (1841-1934), Nelson S. Frost (1845-1880), William Henry Frost (1847-1939), Mary A. Frost Freeman (1849-1943), Olive Marie Frost Noble (1851-1912), Byron Peter Frost (1852-1954), Edward Matthew Frost (1856-1934) and Myrtella Lucy Frost Aspinall (1860-1892). The children of Thomas and Amelia included Clifford E. Bottomley (1873-1936) and Newton H. Bottomley (1880-1967). Additional Comments: The photo(s) in this listing were removed from a set of three antique albums originally belonging to Newton Henry Bottomley (1880-1967) and his wife Edna May Hay (1887-1976) who lived in Price, Wisconsin. Many of the other album photos, which are sold separately, were taken in Racine Co. Wisconsin and included Bottomley and related families Sheard, Gooder, Hay, Burns, Skewes, and Hoyt.
