Saint Therese of Lisieux, also known as "the Little Flower," lived and died at the end of the nineteenth century as a girl, really. She was only 24 when she died, as a Carmelite nun. During her last illness she was ordered to write her story, which she called The Story of a Soul. It spells out her simple spirituality, the way of littleness, or spiritual childhood.
