Vintage original 27x41 in. US one-sheet poster from the classic 1970's Walt Disney sports-themed comedy, THE WORLD'S GREATEST ATHLETE, released in 1973 by Buena Vista Distribution Co. and directed by Robert Scheerer. A down-on-his-luck coach (Tim Conway) travels to Africa, where he spots the world's greatest athlete - a white Tarzan-type (Jan-Michael Vincent) and brings him back to the U.S. of A. to compete. The cast includes John Amos, Roscoe Lee Browne, Dayle Haddon, Billy DeWolfe, and Nancy Walker. The poster boasts terrific artwork that depicts a large image of Nanu (Jan-Michael Vincent), wearing only a small loincloth as he swings from a vine as his long blonde hair blows in the wind. The bottom half of the poster depicts a shot of a timid-looking Milo Jackson (Tim Conway) hiding behind the team's coach while various sports activities are performed on the field around them. Unrestored and folded as originally issued, this vintage original one-sheet is in fine- condition with light wear along the left half of the bottom border; a light 2 in. v-shaped crease on the center of the left border on either side of the foldline; a tiny nick on the right border; a 2 in. diagonal crease on the bottom left corner; a small amount of separation at the center crossfold; and some small scattered creases from handling. The bold color tints are fresh and vibrant without any signs of fading. Great gay interest for those into long-haired guys or foot fetishes.
