Item description

The late Akira Kurosawa scripted this epic live story which centres on O-Shin (Nagiko Tohno), a young geisha woman working in a 19th century brothel. When she meets a samurai, Fusanosuke (Hidetaka Yoshioka), who is seeking refuge, she takes him in and falls in love. But Fusanosuke cannot relate to her way of life and leaves - only to return to tell her he is engaged. Another samurai (Masatoshi Nagase) arrives in the village and O-Shin once again falls in love. The film's director, Kei Kumai, was hand-picked by Kurosawa's son. Please note this DVD is region 2 and will only work in the following regions Japan, Europe, South Africa, the Middle East (including Egypt) and Greenland, Unless you have a multi-regional DVD Player.
