Sully was a close counselor to Henry IV of France. Historians emphasize Sully's role in building a strong centralized administrative system in France using coercion and highly effective new administrative techniques. Size: 9-1/2 x 6 inches-Vol. 1- 468, Vol. 2- 536 and Vol.5- 466 pages respectively. This piece is an interesting step back in time. Ready for a new collector's home. Notes: Leather Covered Hardcovers. 3 large hardbacks matchet set with leather bindings and corners, marbled endpapers and page edges. Text looks OK. Pages with light tanning and some foxing spots (Vol.5) . Covers show edge wear with rubbing/scuffing and bumped corners. Spine edge wear/chipping. All binding still tight and intact, but covers almost detached from binding. Acceptable or better overall Vintage Condition only. This Book Set was printed in 1810, so expect its condition to be such, but overall decent shape for the age. Cosmetic condition is as clearly and accurately shown in the high-definition pictures provided. Please inspect all of them carefully! Overall, a rarity, and very uncommon.
