Item description
Offered here is this nice antique The Craftsman Magazine – Volume XV, No. 4 – January 1909. It is in good condition, for a magazine that is over 100 years old. This issue features ROBERT HENI ON ART IN THIS COUNTRY: THE NEED OF SCHOOLS TO DEVELOP INDIVIDUALITY; AMERICA’S NEED OF INDUSTRIAL EDUCATION: THE RECENT CONGRESS IN ATLANTA; FARMING AND MANUAL TRAINING FOR TRUANTS; GOVERNMENT HELP FOR HOME SEEKERS... The magazine has a lot of wear and breaking at the edges of both the front and back covers. It is a bit yellowed with age and has wear at the edges of the pages. The staple binding is holding well, and all pages are intact, and in fairly good condition, however, they are worn at the outer edges, as well as along the outer spine edge, where there are pieces of the cover paper that is missing, primarily at the top and bottom of the outer spine. There is some moisture warbling and staining on the front cover of the magazine. This is a fabulous antique issue of The Craftsman. The advertisements alone are a wonderful window into our past. This is a must have item for any antique collector.
