Item description
Stillwell,
Margaret Bingham, INCUNABULA AND AMERICANA 1450-1800, New York: Columbia
University Press, 1931. 1st ed. red cloth hardcover w/silver titling/decor
to spine and front board, 4to (10x7?), Very Good+/Good, 483pp.
Gentle wear to
head and tail of spine, corners lightly bumped, tiniest bit of age-toning to
pages. Dust-jacket is present and complete, but well chipped also at head and
tail of spine as well as the corners.
?To anyone undertaking the study of
incunabula or Americana, I offer sympathy and, I hope, a helping hand? (From the preface). This is
a wonderfully elucidating and informative book on the two aforementioned genres
of books. Quite the distinctive book indeed, and a significant Capture of Tyme!
