This listing is for five fresh unrooted cuttings from the mother plant Fire cactus (also known as pencil cactus, milkbush, sticks on fire, devil's cactus) It likes sunlight and needs very little water. The tops of the stems turn red with less water and bright sunlight. If grown in less sunlight it will favor the green color. It makes a great houseplant in cooler climates and can be planted outside in zones 9a and above. Roots best after the end has calloused - which is usually complete after the shipping process. It can then be rooted directly in well draining soil. This item is shipped with the intent of drying the cut end during transport to callous. **Shipping** I combine shipping. Every now and then things do happen at the Post Office during shipping which can leave your plant damaged beyond saving. All I ask is for a picture of the DOA plant immediately upon receipt and I will replace the item. Normal shipping wear should be expected ? leaves may fall off or soil can be disrupted. These items ship from Florida. If it is cold out there in your area some plants will hold up fine during shipping but heat packs are available. They are listed separately in my shop for $2.00 if you feel you need one. I will not replace for cold damage if you choose not to purchase the heat pack. .
