Item description

Description: Zone: 4-8 Delivered as: bare roots Blooms: July - September Cutflowers Very easy to grow Flower Color : Red Full grown height: 30-40" Full grown width: 10-250" Plant depth: 5" Grows in any soils Echinacea also known as Rudbeckia purpurea or Coneflower is a lovely perennial for the summer border. They flower from late summer onwards with deep pink to purple flowers and a remarkable deep brown cone in the centre of the flower. A great plant for the mid summer border decorating well into winter, as the cones are very decorative once frozen over. They produce hundreds of big flowers once settled nbsp;and make long lasting cut flowers for fresh or dried flower arrangements. Plant Instructions: Purpurea Crimson Star is a short-lived perennial which thrives in any reasonable garden soil, in a sunny, sheltered spot. Purpurea Crimson Star will tolerate dry and warm climates but do not allow Purpurea Crimson Star to dry out. Stake the stems for support when necessary. Remove dead flower heads to stimulate new growth. Cut Purpurea Crimson Star down to ground level in late fall and apply a light mulch of well-composted chicken manure or leaf mould. lease soak the bare roots for 12-18 hours (do not exceed 24 hours). This allows them to take up the maximum amount of water without doing any injury to the plant. If you have any question, please kindly contact me. Positive feedback is greatly appreciated and needed. Thank you!
