It can be hooked up by HDMI wire (NOT INCLUDED) or Red/White/Yellow audio video cable.(not included) The pictures show that the player is tested. It powers on, the disk slot opens up and closes. The picture of the movie shows that it plays and I played the movie for 1/2 hour with no problems. It's a good little player for a child or teen. Has minor scratching and wear on the top (pictured) But remember, it does not come with any wiring to hook to the tv. No remote is included either.
