I wear my pair without any backs and they stay put, but I include plastic safety backs, as they are more secure that way. Note that these are meant to be worn "open", since squeezing them to close will over time make the metal brittle. The sterling (or argentium, or fine) wire used to make these is manufactured in the USA, from recovered (recycled) sources!
