Item description

PHRONSIE PEPPER by Margaret Sidney Illustrated by Jessie McDermott Lothrop, Lee Shepard Co. Condition: Very Good+ PHRONSIE PEPPER is the fourth and final book in the originally conceived FIVE LITTLE PEPPERS series; chronologically, it is also the final title in the entire series (in other words, all PEPPERS books published after 1897 took place prior to the events of this book). The printing of this copy was after 1902 (since Lothrop combined with Lee Shepard in 1903); it probably dates from the 'teens or early '20s. There are 45 black white illustrations throughout the 437 unmarked, lightly-toned pages. Modest cover and spine wear, mainly, as usual, on corners and spine ends. Secure binding, but no dust jacket.
