Item description

SUPERMAN: FROM THE 30'S TO THE 70'S Crown Publishers, 1971 First Edition Condition: Very Good+ in Good+ dj On the occasion of the 400th issue of Action Comics, this oversized, 386-page hardback anthology of Superman's comic-book adventures was published. The book contains 28 full stories in black-and-white and color from his first appearance in 1938 up to 1971, including many of the memorable "firsts" in Superman's history. Also included are reproductions of 50 covers, an informative introduction and a bibliography of his appearances in various comics and other media. The top of the back cover shows some moisture fading and speckling and there is some minor staining at the top of some pages. Otherwise, a solid copy with unmarked pages. The back of the jacket shows substantial bleeding on the top half from the aforementioned staining of the red back cover; there are also a few short edge tears, the longest being less than an inch. This book is a must for all Superman fans and collectors.
