This is a very stable process, and you don't ever have to worry about the color fading. The color is not ruby red, not garnet red, but maybe somewhere in between. It would pass for ruby before it would pass for garnet. Hard to pin the color down, really... This is a well built ring with strong prongs. The stone weighs 6 carats, and measures 12x10 mm. A good, solid, everyday ring -- and would look just as nice out on the town!
