Adjusting the fuzz dial determines the amount of fuzz added, whilst the volume knob dictates the output level of the pedal. Combining a low level fuzz with a higher volume will produce a "cleaner" yet deep character to the sound, whilst cranking the fuzz dial to full and backing the volume back slightly introduces the player to the world of classic fuzz.
