Item description
World War I Glass Photo -
Bomb Damage to Place du Beffroi
Slide by Radiguet Massiot, Paris
An original glass photo from a French collection of World War I photos. Shows extensive bomb/shelling damage to a building and street in Metzerall, France (Alsace region). There is a soldier standing in on a pile of rubble near the buiding. Likely for projection in a magic lantern. There are labels on each side, one handwritten identifying the subject, and the other a manufacturer's label. Looks better than shown in my handheld digital photos. 3.75" x 3.25".
Please see the other historic glass photos I have listed in my store, Maxitivity.
