A rare and unusual estate find - this is a travelling seedsman's custom-made sample catalog assembled from stock chromolithographic plates, including examples produced by D. M. Dewey, Strecher Litho. Co., Vredenburg Co., and others of Rochester, New York. This one features 141 plates mounted onto a folding set of leather covers in four sections, each connected by ribbons so as to be able to move through the pictures more easily. The cover name (presumably the name of the nursery) is scratched out and unreadable. There is no date of publication but one of the images has an 1887 copyright.
