ARAGONITE CRYSTALS from Morocco The name ?Aragonite? comes from the location of the original find in Molina de Aragon, Spain. This specimen is from Asni (Atlas Mountains), Morocco. Aragonite forms from precipitating hot water that traps in organic matter, such as leaves, twigs moss. It is a pseudomorph from gypsum calcite. It is often found in cracks cavities with iron ores in hot springs geysers. Chemical formula: CaCO3, hardness 3.5-4; density is 2.93-2.95 Click on our Store tag for SIMILAR items.
