Antique Real Photo Postcard. Identified as a statue of Saint Phillip within the Sanctuary of the Sorrowful Mother in Portland, Oregon. Published by Sawyers #15-455. Divided back, EKC stampbox, not postally used. Condition: This is an original photo postcard, not a copy or reproduction. It is in excellent condition, except for album remnants on reverse side. Comments: The National Sanctuary of our Sorrowful Mother, popularly known as The Grotto, is a Catholic outdoor shrine and sanctuary located in the Madison South district of Portland, Oregon, United States. Constructed in 1924, the sanctuary covers 62 acres, set both at the foot of, and atop, a 110 foot cliff.
