Another great find in this pair of Vintage Porcelain Gold Trimmed Hand Painted Majolica Vases. These trophy style handled vases have a fruit motif of grapes, peaches and what looks to be a star fruit on it. The grapes are the only ones with the Majolica feel to it. They would look fabulous with some Violets or small wild flowers for that Shabby Chic look on a dining table or little knick-knack corner. Description Condition: They measure 5-1/2” inches tall by 3-1/2” inches across the top handle-to-handle and 2” inches base. They are handcrafted therefore not perfect showing some normal inclusions and pottery bumps. Since they are also hand painted they show some minor chipping due to age and have a flat washed over finish. There are no chips, cracks, fleabites or crazing on the body of the vase, but just where it has been highly glazed underneath the bottom is some crazing. They are marked with an N7100 on both and embossed with a V-33 on only one. Manufacturer is unknown. FINE PRINT: As with most antique and vintage items I do not clean, polish or in any way change the content of this item due to possibly affecting its original prominence and value. I leave that decision up to the new owner and selling this item “As Is – As Found”. And… as with ANY vintage item they have been previously owned so there may be signs of normal wear.
