Vintage original 30 x 40 in. US special light box display poster from the popular 2000's WWII-themed action drama, PEARL HARBOR, released in 2001 by Buena Vista Pictures and directed by Michael Bay. A tale of war and romance mixed in with history, the story follows two lifelong friends (Ben Affleck, Josh Hartnett) and a beautiful nurse (Kate Beckinsale) who are caught-up in the horror of an infamous Sunday morning in 1941. The cast includes William Leigh Scott, Greg Zola, Ewen Bremner, Alec Baldwin, Jennifer Garner, Jon Voight, and Cuba Gooding Jr. This is a special theatrical poster that was issued for display inside of a light box at a theater. It is printed on a thicker plastic-feeling stock with a high glossy on the front and a uniform silver-gray on the back. The image depicts a great photographic action scene as a Japanese bomb explodes behind a USAF plane as Rafe McCawley (Ben Affleck, far left), Danny Walker (Josh Hartnett), and other American servicemen stationed at Pearl Harbor literally run for their lives. Rolled as originally issued, this vintage original special display poster is in very fine condition with a small piece of clear Scotch tape on the back beneath the center of the left edge. There are no pinholes, tears, scratches, stains, or other flaws. Unlike the standard one-sheet posters (which are still in use in theaters today), which are available for purchase on-line and at the few remaining movie memorabilia stores across the country, it is doubtful that this vintage original special display poster was ever offered to the public. This poster will be shipped rolled in a sturdy tube to prevent damage while in transit.
