This is the auger motor assembly designed for use on refrigerator units. This part is responsible for pushing the ice cubes through the dispenser chute. It includes the fan assembly also. Disconnect the refrigerator unit from its power source before replacing this part. It is a good idea to store any food that could perish quickly in a temperature appropriate location until this part is replaced. For safety reasons, wear work gloves to protect the hands during this process to avoid injury.When the auger motor assembly has gone bad, the ice will not be dispensed from the ice maker. If the propeller itself is broken, the entire auger motor assembly will need to be replaced as it is not available separately.This particular auger motor assembly is compatible with refrigerator and freezer units that are manufactured by the Samsung brand. It is sold individually and is sourced straight from the manufacturer.
