Mild fading to the spine, lower corner tips slightly bumped, small stain to the lower fore-edge pages, else very good in red cloth with spine titles and device embossed in black; in a fine high quality FACSIMILE dust jacket. Amateur detective, Nigel Strangeways is called in to investigate the disappearance of a doctor who is later found in the Thames River. He had been murdered. Strangeways and Clare must sort out which family member is guilty. "Nicholas Blake is the pseudonym for C. Day Lewis CBE, who was Poet Laureate from 1968 until his death in 1972, aged sixty-eight. C.
